no edits, no title, no filters, just one of my favorite poses
& not for the reasons you might think.
yes, it’s a beautiful and challenging shape (and you know I love a good challenge),
but this one takes me back to my childhood:
It reminds me my years in Rhythmic Gymnastics,
the sport that shaped who I am (hours of training, preparing for competitions, doubting myself, feeling stuck, then proud, then starting again).
that’s where I learned discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the drive to never give up.
now, when I step into this Dancer’s pose, I reconnect with that part of myself.
& today, I carry everything I learned (and even some of those movements) into my teaching.
I won’t lie, at first I felt sad that I couldn’t touch my head with my foot anymore.
but now, I just feel grateful to still move and feel, even with the scars and lessons my body carries.
and Yoga has literally been the starting point as it taught me to move differently and more consciously.
we all have poses that take us back to a part of our story
& it’s beautiful to witness how both our body and our journey evolve over time 🤍🐣✨🌞🪽
