🌱 In Gestalt therapy, it is a practice of awareness.
It means noticing what we feel, what we avoid, what we desire, and what we fear.
It means recognising the places where we hide from ourselves, and the stories we tell to stay safe.
Self-honesty is not meant to judge or punish.
It is meant to clarify, to bring our inner world into focus so that choice becomes possible again.
When we meet ourselves truthfully, we meet life more truthfully too.
