The various internal martial arts produce Jin via the mobilization of Qi. Different arts have different ways to do so and produce various different jins as per the given style. External arts also produce various Jins via the specific methods of the given art. 

There are Jins that are exclusive to Taijiquan much as there are Jins exclusive to other arts. Yet the ability to produce the various powers is only part of the art. What I would consider of prime importance is the state one is in while producing and delivering any given power. In my experience and opinion this is what is truly unique and special about the true art of Taijiquan.

The special characteristic of Taijiquan is the development and maintenance of Zhong Ding, this is the unique quality of the art. The key point is that it is maintained while producing and delivering any other power. This is what makes the art so difficult and also what makes the art so unique. Of course first comes the discovery of Zhong Ding and even that has many levels. The arts is mysterious and profound and Zhong Ding is hard to know without long and correct practice, all too often it is dumbed down to mean things like the center line or being upright, what could be further from the truth?
