Don’t travel to the Swiss Alps as a solo female traveler without knowing this 🇨🇭🏔️

This week we sat down with NomadHer Folake ( ) who shared her favorite spots across the Jungfrau Region, one of the most breathtaking areas of the Swiss Alps.

From Lauterbrunnen Valley to alpine villages like Mürren and nearby Interlaken, here are the local-approved places you’ll want on your radar 👇

🍽️ Where to eat

- .lauterbrunnen (Lauterbrunnen) —Burgers and fries with one of the most beautiful outdoor dining views in the valley, surrounded by waterfalls and mountain peaks.
- Swiss Restaurant Weidstübli (Lauterbrunnen) — Classic Swiss comfort food that hits the spot after a long hiking day. The rösti is a must.
- Bäckerei Tea Room von Allmen (Lauterbrunnen) — A cozy bakery near the train station and gondola area, perfect for coffee and fresh pastries before heading into the mountains.

🏡 Where to stay

- (Lauterbrunnen) — A welcoming stay tucked beside the river with stunning waterfall views and a friendly traveler atmosphere.

🏔️ What to do

- Staubbach Falls (Lauterbrunnen) — One of Switzerland’s most iconic waterfalls, where you can actually walk behind the falls.
- Explore Mürren — A charming car-free alpine village with breathtaking mountain views and access to incredible hiking trails.
- Harder Kulm (Interlaken) — Take the funicular up for panoramic views over Lake Thun, Lake Brienz, and the surrounding Alps.
- Paragliding over Lauterbrunnen Valley — Floating above the valley with the Swiss Alps below you is an unforgettable experience.

💡 Folake’s solo travel tip

Plan two anchors for every trip: one small comfort routine (like a morning coffee walk or picnic lunch) and one community moment (a meetup, tour, or local event). That balance keeps solo travel grounding and meaningful.

📍 Don’t travel to Marrakesh as a solo female traveler without knowing this!

This week we sat down with Nomadher Shaymae () and she spilled all her favorite, hidden & local-approved spots in Marrakesh you need on your radar 👇

🍽 Where to eat (local picks):

— Classic Moroccan café right on Jemaa el-Fnaa with rooftop views of the square, great for mint tea at sunset 🌇✨

— Chill cafe overlooking the square with healthy eats, Moroccan classics & a vibe perfect for your golden hour shots 🌿

Jemaa El Fnaa food stalls — Street eats after nightfall with endless tagines, grilled skewers & fresh juices 🍢🍊

🏛 Where to go (must-see):

Jemaa El Fnaa — Marrakech’s vibrant heart; daytime juice stalls turn into a glowing night food market 🍊🥘

Kenzi Rose Garden — A peaceful green escape from busy medina lanes 🌹 (hotel garden + café vibes)

Souk Medina — A labyrinth of colorful alleys, lanterns, lamps, spices & artisan finds 🛍️🧡

Koutoubia Mosque — Marrakech’s iconic mosque with towering minaret — perfect for cultural & architectural shots 🕌

🚴‍♀️ Shaymae’s favorite experience in Marrakesh:

Biking just outside the city — a local-approved adventure that takes you into the quieter Moroccan landscapes 🏜️💨

Her advice on solo travel:

🌟 Marrakech is vibrant, intense, and beautiful. Walk confidently, trust your instincts, and don’t be afraid to say *no* politely but firmly. Solo travel here can be incredibly rewarding. The culture is warm, the hospitality genuine, and once you connect with people you feel true generosity. Morocco has *so much depth, beauty & strength,* don’t let stereotypes stop you from exploring it. 🇲🇦✨
