If you’ve never traveled alone before,
you’re probably overthinking it.

So we asked women during our solo female festival in Seoul what actually matters… and what doesn’t?

Because the hardest part isn’t the trip,
it’s starting.

Have any travel hot takes to share?

Personally, we think a lot of people make solo travel seem harder than it actually is but let’s discuss👇

Everyone’s solo travel journey starts somewhere.

Today, we wanted to highlight the adventures of one of our community members Megan () who is a digital nomad exploring 50+ countries around the world.

In this video, Megan shares her first solo travel experience and tips she would give to someone about to go on their first trip.

Megan’s story and every story, including yours, can inspire someone else to take that first step.

Is there something you’d like to share about your travel journey?

Leave a comment below so we can inspire each other.

Would you still go, knowing that the price is not just 6,000 USD, but our environment?

107 tons of waste a day.
80% of it ending up straight in landfills.
250+ tons of CO₂ just to get there.

So… is it worth it?

Yes or no?

Women weren’t afraid to travel. We were restricted from it.

From not being able to hold our own passports,
to not being able to book a place to stay,
to not being able to leave the country independently.
These barriers weren’t that long ago.
And today, women are not only traveling —
we make up nearly half of global travelers
and influence the majority of travel decisions.
So the question isn’t why are women afraid to travel alone?
It’s how history still shapes the way we see it today.
If you’ve ever felt hesitant, you’re not alone — but you also don’t have to do it alone.
Join a global community of women travelers on NomadHer 💚
And I’m curious — what’s actually stopping you from traveling right now?

Where do you start if you want to build your own women’s community?

Aloha! I’m Hyojeong, CEO and founder of NomadHer. We are a global community and app for female globetrotters, built on the belief that travel, adventure, and the challenges of the road are what truly help women grow.

For the past 8 years, I’ve lived through every phase of NomadHer, the highs, the lows, and the « is this actually working? » moments.

I didn’t start with a big budget or a polished app. I started by: Putting up « fake » posters in female toilets. 💌 Sending newsletters to my first 10 subscribers. ☕️ Organizing small offline meetups with only 2 participants.

I just wanted to see if people would even talk about a solo female travel app! And yes, it worked. That is exactly how I found my first believers. For the past months many of you have personally contacted to me for advices, and here are my very frank & personal advices for those who need.

Building a women-only community isn’t about the technology. It’s about the people and the « Why » behind it. Whether you dream of a local, « thick and tight » support group or a loose, global bridging network, the first step is always the hardest.

If you’re ready to start, here is my roadmap for your journey:
1️⃣ Focus on your « Why » before you ever worry about « What. »

2️⃣ Identify the one critical problem you are desperate to solve for women.

3️⃣ Listen relentlessly. Interview 10 women in your target niche. Don’t pitch—just listen to their stories for an hour each.

4️⃣ Start small. Your first 10 members are your foundation.
Creating a community is a choice to show up for each other. Whether you’re building something local or global, remember: every step matters.

👇 What kind of community have you always dreamed of starting? Or are you currently building one? Let’s brainstorm & support each other in the comments! 🫶

Some conversations you can’t stop thinking about.

At the NomadHer SCTA Seoul Festival for solo female travelers, we hosted panels on everything from travel to building your own path.

We interviewed a few of our guest about their favorite panels.

Thank you .soto393 for your input!

And now we ask you, what convo has been stuck in your head? 💬

What do you do when you’re burnt out?

Burnout isn’t talked about enough especially for women in business.

That’s why and came together at the SCTA Seoul 2026 Festival to start the conversation.

NomadHer CEO Hyojeong chooses to step away and take solo trips to reset.

What about you 🤍?

번아웃이 왔다는 걸 어떻게 알 수 있을까요?

계속 달릴 수는 있지만 더 이상 나답지 않다고 느껴질 때.

SCTA Seoul 2026 Festival에서 와 가이 이야기를 함께 나눴습니다.

노매드헐 대표님 김효정은 잠시 떠나는 혼자 여행으로
자신을 다시 찾는 시간을 가진다고 해요.

Once, we were all just kids with big dreams 💚

We didn’t know where we’d end up, who we’d meet, or what we’d build…

just that there was more out there waiting for us.

And that we wanted to see it 🧳✈️

Somehow, we found each other.

Now, through NomadHer, we’re helping other women go out and see it too 🌍

Our dream was to travel… what’s yours?
