But Experiencing Nature maximises the connection that helps foster thoughts and behaviours that enhance your wellbeing. Horticultural Therapy --like Art therapy-- suggests concrete, tactile, diverse, creative hands-on sensory opportunities that inspire change. Engaging directly with plants, gardens and high tactile nature arts, we cultivate Sensory awareness, promoting self awareness and self care. Other benefits of intentional guided Nature activities may include not only stress relief and restorative refocusing, but decreased anxiety and improved self esteem. Recently, two of my very different practices overlapped harshly in the near same time-space. Speaking about mental health in post colonial polyphonic multiple spaces of consciousness and the emotional labour involved when alter(ed)-identity is rehearsed daily with all public signifiers indicative of an expected réduction or brasure of these same selves. Writing and performing original text with creative musiciens based on the poignant réflections of issues of transcende, and transition, and transit through bodies and countries and langages as they arise in the novels of James Baldwin.

Phobia of spaces experienced as repressive spaces. Social norms have varying psychological effects on various groups of people. We don’t all have the same symbolic and cultural capital.
