Monthly focus on colore**al surgery
🔗 Check it out here https://irc.ad/IT2x

Our latest monthly focus covers a comprehensive range of **al interventions, from robotic TME with transa**l transection to natural or***ce specimen extraction (NOSE) for diverticular disease. Explore specialized techniques including fluorescence and laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) for perfusion evaluation, redo ventral mesh rectopexy, and complex endoscopic submucosal dissections.

Featuring full-length live educational procedures and technical case reports, these resources provide evidence-based insights into the latest approaches to enhance your surgical practice.

“Robotic total mesore**al excision (TME) with transa**l transection and single-stapled (TTSS) anastomosis: a full-length live educational procedure”

This live video demonstrates a robotic TME with TTSS anastomosis for low re**al cancer. The TTSS technique facilitates a low **al anastomosis, offering lower leak rates and superior functional outcomes compared to traditional methods. It is an essential resource for surgeons looking to optimize surgical planning and techniques for complex re**al cases.

“Laparoscopic anterior resection (LAR) with total mesore**al excision (TME) using fluorescence and laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) for bowel perfusion evaluation and autologous platelet-rich fibrin matrix for anastomotic healing enhancement”

This video presents a case of mid-re**al adenocarcinoma where dual-modality perfusion assessment was utilized. By combining indocyanine green fluorescence angiography (ICG-FA) with Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging (LSCI), the surgical team objectively identified the ideal colonic transection point. To support anastomotic healing in a single-stage procedure without a diverting ileostomy, an autologous platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) matrix was applied circumferentially to the anastomosis.

“The Hugo™ RAS system in gynecologic robotic surgery: a systematic review of current applications”
Read the review: https://irc.ad/XPt9

This systematic review evaluates the safety and feasibility of the Hugo™ RAS system across 445 gynecological procedures, including hysterectomies, sacrocolpopexy, and endometriosis surgery. Results demonstrate a low 1.35% conversion rate and a manageable learning curve, with docking times averaging 5.9 minutes as teams gained experience.

The platform's modular design and open console performed reliably in routine clinical practice without major intraoperative complications attributed to the system. While further research will assess long-term oncological outcomes, current data supports the Hugo™ RAS as a safe, effective option in the digital surgery landscape.

While ESD is an established treatment for high-grade lesions, peria**l skin involvement is typically managed surgically.

This video presents a landmark case: the first reported ESD for HSIL involving both the peria**l skin and the lower re**um. Explore this advanced approach to see how endoscopic precision can be applied to complex anatomical extensions.

The world's no.1 minimally invasive surgery website

WebSurg was created by Professor Jacques Marescaux in 2000. The objective was to create a resource for surgeons to train and improve their surgical skills anytime, anywhere. What a better way to learn than a charge-free online university!

This amazing project was made possible with the synergy of 12 hardworking specialists: 4 developers, 3 medical writers and translators, 2 graphic designers, 1 medical illustrator, and 1 communications manager. This fantastic team is led by Thomas Parent, a devoted and dynamic chief technical officer.
