🏃🧡 Running for the fight against Cancer
Last month we did something special: The Rosalind Race, organized by our very own Yann, kicked off from our Paris headquarters to Hôpital Foch in Suresnes, bringing together our team members, researchers and the entire community in the fight against Cancer.
When we arrived at Hôpital Foch, where Yann himself was treated for pancreatic Cancer, we were happy to meet his incredible medical team. Yann sat down with us to share what this journey meant to him, both as an organizer and as a Cancer survivor.
What made crossing the Rosalind Race finish line at Hôpital Foch so meaningful to you?
"This is where I received treatment for five years, visiting every two weeks through chemotherapy, successes, relapses and side effects. Seeing the race arrive here was very powerful."
What kept you going through five years of treatment?
"The support from the entire hospital team: oncologists, nurses, everyone. I also participated in a wellness program focusing on psychological support and nutrition. Access to this level of support is crucial when facing the most difficult phases of treatment.”
What message would you like to share with patients going through a similar experience?
"Never carry the weight alone. Stay hopeful and seek out every form of care available, it makes all the difference. There's a global community revolutionizing treatment through precision medicine right now, and this collective effort is reshaping Cancer care."
Behind every statistic is a person, a story and a reason to keep pushing forward our research. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the race and to the team at Hôpital Foch for their endless dedication.
