What if menopause isn’t actually the problem, but the story we’ve been told about it is?
We’ve been taught to dread it.
To expect struggle, loss, mood swings, exhaustion, pain, panic...
Almost like something is going to go totally wrong with us.
But here’s the thing i found out… in some cultures, menopause isn’t feared or even medicalised in any way. It’s just a natural transition. A new season.
And guess what? In those cultures women don’t suffer the same way we’re told we will (or should...because everyone does!)
So what if our bodies aren’t actually broken but just responding to stress, expectations and a narrative that tells us this phase is something to "survive"?
What if menopause isn’t an ending but an invitation to simply recalibrate and relate to ourselves differently?
I truly believe that if /WHEN we change the story, we change the experience.
And it’s time we started talking about this — honestly, gently, and without fear of being judged.
What are your thoughts about menopause?
I am keen to hear...
