I qualified in matwork in London with Anoushka Boone at Pilates in Motion in 2015, then completed my Apparatus qualifications in Cannes with Cristiane Domenici in 2016. Having discovered Pilates myself as a way to eliminate chronic neck pain I am passionate about helping guide people to leading a pain-free and healthy life, as well as working those who wish to simply get back into exercise, get fit or improve their existing sporting performance. For me, life is about balance.. between work and play, between being active and relaxing, between body mind and soul… sometimes it’s good to take the day off work and just do something that you love… and the icing on the cake is taking time to just be alone with oneself ❤️🎁❤️

Yesterday, while enjoying a beautiful snowshoe hike in the Mercantour, I found myself reflecting on how strong and capable I felt — and why. Even though I don’t hike as often as some of my fellow hiking friends, I can still keep up with ease. And I realised a big reason is Pilates.
Pilates gives me a strong, balanced foundation that makes everything else I love feel more sustainable — especially in the mountains. By building deep core strength, stable joints, and efficient movement patterns, my regular Reformer and Mat practice helps me move uphill with better posture, less fatigue, and greater body awareness. The focus on breath and control also supports endurance and resilience, allowing me to enjoy long days outdoors while reducing the risk of strain or injury.
Pilates isn’t just about training muscles — it teaches the whole body to work together. And that carries into every activity I do, including these beautiful adventures in nature. I am so grateful that I discovered this incredible method and how it has so positively impacted every aspect of my life. 🙏❤️🎁.

Are you interested in joining the team at Studio Mel — for one-off events or on a regular basis?

Located just steps from Place des Arcades in the heart of vibrant Valbonne village, the studio offers a beautiful 40m² space, with plenty of free parking nearby. It’s ideal for small to medium group classes, workshops, seminars, pop-ups, and special wellbeing events. I’m always happy to welcome professionals who would like to bring something unique to our friendly, international community.

Alongside my Pilates (Reformer & Mat) sessions — and current activities such as boxing, yin yoga, prenatal yoga, vinyasa yoga, singing and stretching — there are still several time slots available to rent. Some ideas that may inspire you: aerial yoga, kids’ yoga, breathwork, mindfulness courses, meditation, Qi Gong, or other wellbeing therapies. How about a vintage/pre-loved clothing sale, a pop-up shop?! Have another idea? I’d love to hear it!

My Story

My objective as a Pilates teacher is simple, and is born of a desire to give something back and transmit what I have personally gained from Pilates myself.

Having discovered Pilates myself as a way to eliminate chronic neck pain I am passionate about helping guide people to leading a pain-free and healthy life, as well as working those who wish to simply get back into exercise, get fit or improve their existing sporting performance. In January 2015 I qualified in classical Pilates Matwork with Anoushka Boone at Pilates in Motion, West London; and then I completed my teacher training on the machines with Cristiane Domenici at the Studio Pilates in Cannes in December 2016.

I teach privately (in both English and French) either from my home (where I have a Pilates Springboard wall unit), or I can come to your home for privates/duos/trios etc. Ideal if you would like a class tailored to your specific needs, or just if you prefer to practice in the privacy of your own home. In addition I teach group mat classes in Valbonne Monday 12h30; Tuesday 9h15, Wednesday 19h30 and Thursday 09h15 (gentle) and 12h30, and also at the Espace Santé les Lucioles in Sophia Antipolis on Monday 07h30 and Thursday at 11h00.
