Winback, activist for women’s rights
Women’s rights are based on fundamental rights to respect physical and mental integrity, empowerment and equal access of all kinds. Regarding the equal access to healthcare, some incredible awareness and medical progresses are worth noting to address this « Great Forgotten » situation when it comes to pain management of intimate care.
🙅♀️ Among these treatments, the perineo-pelvic medical care is key. Pain, dysfunctions or rehabilitation of an intimate part must be addressed with respect. Unfortunately, there are still some cases of traumatic experiences from patients. It is the duty of the therapist to consider consent, unwillingness, discomfort of women to be sure that our treatment will not be experienced as a physical or mental gynecological abuse.
➡️ Winback’s mission is and has always been to support therapists managing pain. When intimate care has been considered, it seemed essential that treatments be non-invasive. In fact, technology and electrodes in contact with body have been designed according to a fundamental philosophy: respect and goodwill for women.
📌 As an example, RET energy passes through the perineal channel without any intra-cavity electrodes thanks to the multiplexing of advanced currents. Antalgy as well as awareness and confidence of intimate areas are remotely and safely managed. In addition to antalgic benefits, RET generates an enhanced trophicity of the tissues enabling for example a less invasive IUD insertion. CET acts on superficial tissues from 1 to 3 cm, thus dyspareunia can be treated without any invasive technique.
Winback aims at preserving this basic right to healthcare : painless and respecting women’s body. Winback is above all committed women campaigning for the respect of patients without any pain. These women are the first listeners to these patients’ expectations and needs.
