L' Unité Recherches et Dx Spécialisée du Laboratoire National de Santé Publique du Gabon vient de publier un article avec les conclusions suivantes:
1. Le personnel de santé travaillant en proximité étroite avec les patients ayant une tuberculose active ont une probabilité plus élevée d'infection par le Bacille de Koch (M. tuberculosis)
2. La probabilité d'infection par e Bacille de Koch (M. tuberculosis) est plus élevée chez les hommes que chez les femmes.
3. Les sujet contrôlant l’infection à M. tuberculosis ont une réponse M tuberculosis spécifique accrue des cytokines Th1 / pro-inflammatoires, associée à une induction de certaines cytokines de type Th2 / anti-inflammatoires.

The Research & Specialized Dx Unit of the Gabonese National Laboratory of Public Health just Published an article with the following conclusions:
1. Selected TB workers have higher odds to LTB infected

2. The odds of LTB Infection is higher in Men as compared to Women.

3. LTBI individuals controlling the M. tuberculosis infection have an enhanced TB specific Th1-cytokines/ proinflammatory response combined with selected Th2 type/anti-inflammatory cytokines induction.
