An Amber Flood Alert has been issued for our area. This means flooding is possible, and conditions could worsen — please take steps to protect yourself, your home, and others.

✅ Safety Tips:
• Stay updated with official weather and flood warnings
• Avoid walking or driving through floodwater — even shallow water can be dangerous
• Move valuables, important documents, and electronics to higher levels
• Prepare an emergency kit (medications, chargers, torches, warm clothes)
• Check in on neighbours, especially those elderly or vulnerable
• Keep pets indoors and safe
• If you live near a river, stream, or low-lying area, be extra cautious and ready to act quickly
