Join Batala Portsmouth this Friday as we perform at the Fratton Together and Portsmouth Creates Festival of Light ✨

At 19:00, we will lead the Lantern Parade up Fratton Road as we process from the Victory Business Centre to St Mary's Church, taking the parade to the church with our illuminated drums! Stay with us for a bigger static performance in the church grounds from 20:15 ⛪️

Expect catchy samba-reggae tunes, and lots of drum light magic! 🥁

Mandrake Events is incredibly proud to have supported Remembrance events across the South this year, including Portsmouth Guildhall, Southsea, New Milton, and Gosport.

Our team provided comprehensive infrastructure and traffic management services to ensure each parade was delivered safely and respectfully, allowing communities to come together and remember with dignity.

🚦 Great to have managed the traffic operations for this year’s Weston-super-Mare Carnival.

Over 100 illuminated carts, a new route through the town, and tens of thousands of spectators — a big night for the West Country and a real team effort behind the scenes.

Road closures, diversions, access routes… all went smoothly thanks to solid planning and great coordination from everyone involved.

Huge credit to the organisers, volunteers, and the public for making it another fantastic year.

A calendar favourite on the Mandrake schedule!

That’s van and trailer 1 of 3 loaded and departing the yard, en route to Weston-super-Mare for the annual Carnival. It takes a significant amount of planning, traffic management infrastructure, and a team of 50 marshals on junctions to safely close down a town of this scale — adding an extra layer of complexity that our crews handle with precision.

Here’s to another safe and successful event for the 15,000+ visitors expected at this highlight in the series. 🚦The 100ft floats are spectacular.
