Shoulder pain when pushing a door, getting up off the floor, or lifting something overhead?

Most people assume: “I need to strengthen it more.”

Most people don’t fail at exercise because they’re lazy.
They fail because the environment is wrong.

Long-term success usually comes down to three things:

1️⃣ The right level of challenge
Too easy = no progress.
Too hard = overwhelm.
It has to stretch you without breaking you.

2️⃣ Enjoyment
If you hate it, you won’t repeat it.
Sustainable health requires something you actually like turning up to.

3️⃣ Accountability

“My disc has slipped out.”

We still hear this a lot.

But Discs don’t actually slip out of place.

They’re more like water balloons — they can bulge or become irritated, but they don’t slide out of your spine.

That misunderstanding alone creates fear.
And fear often leads to:

• Reduced movement
• Guarding
• Avoidance
• More stiffness

Disc bulges can absolutely cause pain and discomfort.

But they are very common — and very manageable with the right plan.

All jokes aside, here are 3 important reasons why you shouldn’t ignore your pain:
