November is recognized as Men's Health Awareness Month.

We all have partners, fathers, brothers, sons, uncles, and friends that we love, too many men are dying too young, impacting relationships, families, and communities.

“Movember” focuses on raising awareness for men's health issues like prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health and su***de prevention.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men over the age of 45. It is more common in black men and African ancestry who are recommended to start talking about their risks in their early 40’s. Early detection is key – talk to your GP about the risks and whether a blood test would be beneficial.

Prostate cancer is often a slow-growing disease. It’s commonly found in older men, but can affect younger men as well. Some men can go years without noticing any signs or symptoms, especially in the early stages. Others may notice nothing at all.

Understanding your risk of prostate cancer, regular screenings like PSA tests, knowing the signs and symptoms which may include difficulty when urinating, things not feeling right during s*x, aches or pains in your hips or pelvis, and bloody urine or semen. Noticing symptoms does not automatically mean you have prostate cancer but is worthwhile speaking with your doctor if for nothing more than peace of mind.

Well done girls!!

We've always said that "pressure makes Diamonds". In this case, relentless pressure was what brought the remaining points needed to secure the league title in this morning's match against Grampian Girls United.

Continuing our consistent form, Holly was quick to give us the advantage with an early goal in the 4th minute of play. After half time, Emma capitalised on a corner and headed the ball past Grampian's keeper. Ava added a third goal to the tally in the 69th minute as the referee was readying the final whistle. As always, a team effort with our midfield disrupting Grampian's attempts and our strong back line repeatedly sending the ball back.

We couldn't be prouder of the Diamonds and their consistency, effort and passion this season. An exceptional team - league champions two years running!
