This client came to me following an ACL repair, noticing an imbalance in his knee when playing sport.

On assessment, there was clear tightness and pulling around the scar, which can affect how the knee moves and performs. Treatment focused on the knee and surrounding areas to help restore balance and function.

Scar therapy after ACL repair can:
✔️ Restore movement
✔️ Reduce tightness around the scar
✔️ Improve knee flexibility
✔️ Support a smoother return to activity

Gentle, targeted treatment can make a real difference in how the body moves especially when returning to sport.

Clinic Update ✨

From May 2026, Reform Physio & Pilates will be operating exclusively from their flagship West End studio and clinic on Albyn Terrace and I’ll be moving with them (very excited!)

All appointments that were previously booked for Reform in Cults from 1st May onwards will now take place at the West End clinic due to the closure of the Cults location.

Scar therapy after axillary lymph node removal can play an important role in recovery.

Treatment helps to reduce tightness, improve arm and shoulder movement, and ease discomfort often felt after surgery. It can also support healthy lymphatic flow, which is key for ongoing wellbeing.

Using gentle, hands-on techniques, scar therapy helps restore movement and makes everyday activities feel more comfortable again. 💜

This client fell on ice and sustained a complex ankle injury, breaking her ankle in two places. Surgery involved metal plates at the ankle and a stabilising rod inserted from the knee down.

Although she is attending physiotherapy, she felt her knee mobility was still restricted. On assessment, the scar above her knee was extremely tight and pulling, limiting movement.

After one session of scar therapy, she noticed an immediate improvement in movement and reported less pain.

She’ll continue with further scar therapy sessions alongside physiotherapy, working not only on the knee scar but also around the ankle surgery site, to support ongoing improvements in range of movement and function. 💜
