🇱🇧 This morning’s Coffee Morning took us on a trip to… Lebanon! ☕✈️
Today we learned so many fascinating things about this beautiful country. From its rich history to its vibrant food and culture, Lebanon truly captivated us!
✨ Here are some of the highlights we discovered:
🌍 Lebanon is one of the oldest inhabited places in the world, home to ancient cities like Byblos—often called one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on Earth.
🏛️ We talked about the famous Cedars of Lebanon, treasured since ancient times and even mentioned in the Bible.
🍽️ And of course… the food! From hummus and tabbouleh to kibbeh and manakish, Lebanese cuisine brought smiles (and hungry looks!) all around. Pat has requested that our next Supper Club be Lebanese food 😋

Executive Chef Mark came to the rescue with a delicious selection of goodies, and a fully stocked bar kept the chat, singing, and even a bit of dancing going in our private dining room.

This morning was all about fun, fitness, and community! You asked for more bingo and exercises, and Leigh’A made it happen with a fantastic morning session packed with activity and excitement. We stretched, we moved, we laughed, and of course, we played to win some great prizes. Events like this remind us how important it is to stay active while still enjoying ourselves. Big thanks to Leigh’A for keeping us motivated and to everyone who joined us for a truly enjoyable start to the day.

❄️ Snowball Shenanigans! ❄️
The staff decided to spend lunch proving who has the best (or worst!) aim in a full-on snowball battle. Meanwhile, the residents wisely stayed inside, cheering them on from the warmth like a very cozy, very amused audience. 😂☃️

The weather might have cancelled Boogie in the Bar, but we didn’t let that stop the fun—we simply moved the party to Woodlands Bar! Residents filled the afternoon with their song requests, and before we knew it we were all dancing and singing along. We boogied our way through the decades, from Joe Loss and The Corries to Van Morrison and Hall & Oates.

Today we enjoyed a wonderful trip down memory lane, sharing stories about where we were born — from Aberdeen and Peterhead to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and even London.
We then watched two beautiful videos featuring old footage from Aberdeen and Edinburgh, which sparked lots of memories and great conversation. ❤️
