It's 5pm which means I'm officially on holiday 😊

My working hours have been amended to fit with Easter holidays and to enjoy some time with the kids. Please see pics for my opening hours, I will still answer any queries albeit slower than normal.

The Integrated Medicine Alliance (IMA) which operates under the wing of College of Medicine recently commissioned a new survey to assess how sentiment and the use of Complementary and Alternative Medicines (CAMs) amongst UK adults is changing. The IMA findings reflect a clear and encouraging shift - CAMs are now mainstream, with 43% of adults using them. 🙌

The survey shows that millennials (currently between 30 and 45 years old) are the most interested in alternative treatments, with 83% saying that CAMs have helped them. Massage is the most popular treatment, with more than a quarter of people having tried it (27%), followed by herbal medicine (19%), aromatherapy (14%), and acupuncture (13%).

Dr Naveed Akhtar, chairman of the Integrated Medicine Alliance says, ‘Complementary therapies are already helping large numbers of people and easing pressure on the NHS. When an approach delivers genuine benefit, meets patient needs and conserves public resources, the question is no longer whether it belongs, but how we organise healthcare around what genuinely helps patients.’

💫Polite notice to my clients💫

Come May, Holistic Haven has been trading for 3 years, I don't know where that time has went! Within that 3 years my service prices have remained the same for everyone.

However, come April 1st 2026, there will be a slight increase of £3 to most services, further services added or amended with this increase. It's never an easy decision to make.

These prices are already reflected on my website and soon to follow on Fresha. If booked before April 1st, I will honour the original price.
