Our free next steps and digital skills sessions begin this Monday in Tillydrone, and we still have a some spaces available.
This small, supportive programme is for Aberdeen City residents aged 16+ who are not currently in employment, education or training. It is particularly suited to parents and carers who may be thinking about returning to work, learning something new, or simply taking the first step towards what comes next.
🗓 Dates: 20th, 21st, 22nd & 27th, 28th, 29th April
🕐 Time: 13:00–14:30
📍 Location: Granite City Taekwondo, Tillydrone Community Centre, Gordon’s Mills Road, AB24 2RG
What to expect
These sessions are relaxed, friendly and practical. You’ll be part of a small group (maximum 15 people), all in similar situations and looking for a bit of support and direction.
Across the sessions, we will:
• Explore simple, manageable next steps in a supportive environment
• Build confidence using everyday digital tools like email and online forms
• Look at job search websites and how to use them effectively
• Introduce easy, practical ways to use AI tools to save time and reduce stress
• Take part in informal discussions, light activities and hands-on support
There is no pressure, no formal assessments, and no expectation to be job-ready. You can join at your own pace, and if you miss a session or arrive late, that’s absolutely okay. We build in time to recap and help everyone feel comfortable and included.
Parents with young children are welcome to bring them along, and sessions are timed to fit around school hours.
We welcome both referrals and self-referrals.
If this sounds like something that could help you or someone you know, we’d love to hear from you.
