Did you know it only takes 3–4 minutes for a person’s airway to become obstructed and potentially fatal?

In an emergency, those first few minutes are critical. Without quick action, the lack of oxygen can lead to serious brain injury or death. But with the right knowledge, you could step in and make all the difference.

First aid training gives you the confidence and skills to act fast when it matters most. From dealing with choking incidents to performing CPR and using a defibrillator (AED), these are life saving techniques that can be used anywhere - at home, at work, or out in public.

Emergencies don’t wait for professionals to arrive. Being first aid trained means you won’t have to stand by and hope someone else knows what to do, you’ll be ready.

👩‍🏫 MEET THE TEAM

Meet Kelsey, a Training Officer at GSR Training. Kelsey joined the team in June 2024, bringing valuable experience from her previous role as a Registered Midwife within NHS Grampian.

Kelsey plays an important role in supporting learners throughout their journey, helping to build their confidence and skills from the start to the end of each course. She particularly enjoys seeing learners progress and achieve their goals, using real-life scenarios to bring training to life.

Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys relaxing with a good book on the sofa with her dog. She also enjoys hillwalking, running, and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Debbie, a key member of the team at GSR. With over 11 years at the company, Debbie has progressed from Finance Administrator to Finance and Payroll Manager.

Debbie plays a vital role in overseeing the finance and payroll function, ensuring everything runs smoothly and that staff are paid accurately and on time. She takes pride in providing reliable, behind the scenes support that helps keep the organisation running seamlessly.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys staying active with Zumba and Barre classes, and has recently taken on the Couch to 5K challenge (when her knees allow!).
