Youth Stop AIDS Aberdeen are seeking AUSA affiliation! We are a youth-led movement campaigning for a world without AIDS. We are part of a network of young people across the UK who speak out, take creative action and engage those in power to ensure that governments, global institutions and corporations are committed to ending AIDS by 2030.

Are you a young person in the UK living with HIV? Do you have the knowledge and passion to inspire other young people to take action?
Then we want to hear from you!

Applications to be one of the speakers in the Youth Stop AIDS Speaker Tour, 18th - 28th May 2019, are now open! In this voluntary role, you will join part of a tour of the UK, to help bring to life the issues behind the HIV & AIDS pandemic by telling your personal story to young people and decision-makers and inspiring them to take action. As well as telling your story at approximately 3 speaker events - you’ll take part in media interviews and support youth campaigning activities across the UK.

In light of World AIDS Day next week, YSA Aberdeen are teaming up with Students for Global Health and Sexpression to bring you a week of events to raise awareness, reduce stigma and encourage young people to know their status!

Come down to Old Aberdeen next Thursday to get tested through NHS Grampian services.

Let’s Talk: HIV - Tuesday, New Kings 7. Guest speaker Dr Daniele Brawley Grampian Sexual Health discussing HIV issues with stigmatisation, HIV within healthcare settings and services within Aberdeen and Scotland. Further guest speakers sharing their experiences living with HIV. All proceeds also towards Terrence Higgins trust - pizza provided!🍕❤️🍕

Film Screening: 120 Beats Per Minute next Thursday at 6pm.
A powerful film depicting the movement of an advocacy group - ACT UP during the AIDS epidemic in France in the 1990’s. Popcorn will be provided - all £££ go THT. Followed by post-film discussion in the Bobbin.
