Due to the significant number of people in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) and Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital (RACH) will 'flu/other respiratory illness, staff of both hospitals will be wearing fluid repellent surgical masks. We ask relatives, visitors, parents and carers to please do the same.

Please do not visit - or bring siblings to visit - if you or they have any symptoms of respiratory illness (cough, sore throat, runny nose) or norovirus (diarrhoea and/or vomiting). These illnesses spread very quickly and can be serious in those who are already unwell. Thank you for your support and co-operation.

This November, we're shining a spotlight on two critical health issues: Diabetes and Lung Cancer.

🩺 Diabetes Awareness Month
Diabetes affects over 1 in 10 adults globally, with many cases going undiagnosed. Early detection and lifestyle changes can make a huge difference. This month, we’re promoting awareness around risk factors, screening, and the importance of self-management.

📅 Throughout November, we’re sharing resources and encouraging screenings, especially for those over 55 with a history of smoking.
