​Peacefully at Mains of Murthly Farm, Aberfeldy, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, aged 90, John, beloved husband of Pam (nee Taylor). Much loved father of Andrew, Niall and Calum, father-in-law of Nicky and the late Catriona. Grandad to Anna, Morris, Tom, Harry, Joe, Eddie and Matt.
Funeral service at Weem Parish Church, on Tuesday, March 3, at 11 am. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to RSABI.

Important Safety Update: Aberfeldy Cemetery, photos attached

​Perth & Kinross Council have begun safety inspections of headstones at Aberfeldy Cemetery to ensure the site remains safe for all visitors and staff.

​While it can be upsetting to see memorials moved, these measures are being taken to prevent accidents caused by unstable structures. If you are visiting the cemetery, you will notice new signage identifying stones that require attention:

​⚠️ Yellow Triangle (“Unstable”): These memorials have been identified as a potential hazard and require immediate action to make them secure.

🔺 Red Triangle (“Unsafe”): These stones have already been carefully laid flat by the council to eliminate the risk of them falling.

If your family memorial has been marked with a triangle
​you will have the stone safely re-erected or repaired, you must use a qualified stonemason to ensure it meets modern safety standards.

We understand this can be a sensitive matter for families. We have stonemasons ready to provide advice and assist with any necessary repairs to restore your family memorials.
