Are You Accidentally Sabotaging Your Weight Loss?
Have you repeatedly tried (and failed) to meet a weight loss goal?

Weight loss and weight management goals are challenging for most people because both require consistency and a change of often deeply ingrained habits.
Living in a society fuelled by instant gratification doesn’t do us any favours.
One mistake people make is they set big goals without giving themselves the TIME to accomplish them.
Big goals and big changes take time.
The best way to reach a big goal and not become overwhelmed along the way is to set smaller goals and make small changes that you can add to over time.
“I am going to add an additional exercise session to my weekly workouts.”
“I am going to eat vegetables during dinner every night.”
“I am only going to drink wine at the weekends instead of every night”
Setting small, realistic, attainable goals will set you up for success because you achieve them quicker and gain confidence in your abilities to reach your goals, hence preventing you from giving up too soon.

One step is all it takes to cause an avalanche of beneficial thoughts, feelings and actions.
Starting NOW, you can be a totally different person in just 365 days.
You can shift your mindset.
You can lose the excess weight.
You can gain muscle.
You can get stronger.
You can be less stressed.
You can eat better.
You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to.

Fear has been the no 1 thing that has held me back in my life.

Fear of failing
Fear of not being good enough
Taking the decision to train to be a personal trainer at 55 years of age meant taking a huge leap of faith and believing in what others were telling me.
You CAN do this.
Think about what you want and go for it
Be determined
Be focused
Take action

Results don't occur because of willpower.

They occur because of HABIT.

Habit is what helps you move forward even on days when you feel like you couldn’t care less.

Habits are what help you keep doing what you should without the need to think about it too much.

Willpower is what gets you started so you can CREATE those new habits that allow you to move forward long term.

Too often we simply try to rely on willpower, which is why we fail.

Willpower? Self control? Motivation?

They are all fleeting and short-lived.

We need to use them to allow us to make the changes we need to make, and to build those new lifestyle habits.

However, we have to create habits that are realistic for us and the life we lead. Otherwise they won't become second nature.

Often when we start a programme we are so motivated we easily stick to severe restrictions and low calories limits.

BUT these things aren't sustainable.

We don't enjoy them or build them into our new lifestyle.

And that is why they fail. We can’t develop them into habits, because they are simply too hard to stick to in the long term.

This is why I will never tell a client

To only eat 1000 calories a day.

Or stop drinking any alcohol

Or stop having an occasional treat

Or to workout out every day of the week

I want to help clients to build healthy exercise and nutrition into their daily lives so that it’s something they can enjoy and maintain, day after day, week after week and year after year.

There are times I want to "give up."
Times that I'm
Tired. 🥱
Frustrated. 😣
Stressed out. 🤯
Sad. 😢
Anxious...🥺
Unconfident.🙄
Terrified that if I can’t do this, how can I expect you, my clients to do it.
The simple fact is...I’m not perfect and I have to accept that.
I can't run from these feelings, these situations.
The only way to overcome them is to face them head on.
You only build confidence by embracing what’s hard
You only build strength by finding it from within, at those times you least want to tackle the challenge.
Really what it comes down to is.....
You've got to be your own biggest supporter.
Your own biggest fan.
You've got to believe in your own ability to conquer these barriers that life puts in our way.
And it won't be easy.
It will take being very uncomfortable at times as you face those emotions.
And it doesn't mean you won't at times fail.
But there will also be times of growth.
Having the COURAGE to believe in yourself will ultimately pay off.
As hard as it seems at times to believe, you WILL make it through if you just trust in yourself.
So today, if you've had fears and doubts and worries and stresses, tell yourself...
“You've got this!"
Because guess what?
