This Christmas, I’m holding space for so many different stories.
For those experiencing their very first Christmas with their baby in their arms after a long, uncertain, or painful journey, I see the depth of what this season means for you. May it be filled with moments of quiet awe and gentle joy.
For those I’ve had the honour of supporting through pregnancy, birth, healing, or trauma this year, thank you for trusting me with such tender parts of your lives. Walking alongside you has been a privilege I never take lightly.
And for those I haven’t yet met (those quietly watching, hoping, longing, or simply trying to get through this time of year) please know there is a place for you here too. Next year will bring new connections, new conversations, and new support, and I look forward to meeting you when the time is right.
Christmas can magnify joy, but it can also magnify grief, longing, and exhaustion. Wherever you find yourself today, you don’t need to force gratitude or happiness. You are allowed to feel exactly as you feel.
And to my colleagues who will be caring for others through the festive period, Thank you. Your work does not go unnoticed, and your presence makes a profound difference.
Wishing you all a Christmas that feels as gentle, safe, and supported as possible, and a New Year where you are met with care, respect, and hope, every step of the way.
With warmth,
Sam 🤍
