Home Instead Senior Care specialise in the non-medical care of older age adults in their own home, providing a welcoming alternative to life in a care home. The care is companionship-based and clients and CAREGivers are matched on personality and interest so that a relationship develops and the service does not feel like the traditional perception of ‘care’. The service is highly personalised around the needs and wishes of each individual client and covers various activities ranging from a simple chat over a cup of tea through to round the clock support involving personal care and dementia care. Staff do not wear uniforms as they can be seen as an unnecessary indicator of vulnerability and the care visit duration is a minimum of one hour- often longer, allowing ample time for care and support without feeling rushed. Each office is locally owned and operated to ensure the service is accessible and relevant to each area of operation.
