πŸ’₯ Please find the form of exercise you enjoy and I bet my house you will stick to your fitness goals alot longer than doing something you've seen online because people tell you "it burns more calories"

🚫 Seen and spoke to alot of people who for 2 to 3 weeks you'll see out running or running on the treadmill and all of a sudden not see them again and they then tell you "ahhh I hated running but wanted to burn more calories". Walking flat for 1 hour everyday will burn alot more calories than running for 30 minutes 3 times a week and it won't be taxing on your body.

πŸ”₯ I will always say lifting weights long term will improve not only your strength or body shape, but it will also increase the amount of calories you can eat daily. Which let's be honest, who doesn't want to eat alot of calories to maintain their weight?

πŸ’™ But I also understand lifting weights isn't for everyone so if you like running, run. If you like walking then walk (alot). If you like lifting weights, lift weights (heavy, relative to you).

πŸ‘ I'll use myself as an example, now i dont have tonnes of muscle mass but if you compared a person who is also 180lbs ish in weight, doesn't go to the gym or doesnt do the 20k steps a day or have a physical job that i have then i can assure you he wouldn't be able to eat what i do and not gain weight

🚫 I've had some clients who weigh the same as me but don't carry the tissue have and therefore require less calories. Some will have to drop calories to as low as 1500 in order to lose some weight where as over the years I've taken calories down low and built back up to where they are today. My maintenance these days are around 3000/3200 so when you see me saying alot of food that's only where my body needs to be to keep my weight up πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

🚫 You're not losing weight because you've cut an entire food group out of your diet. You're losing weight because you're in a CALORIE DEFICIT. Which means you can eat "Carbs" and still lose weight given that you're in a calorie deficit.

πŸ”₯ And let's be honest. Crisps, cakes, rice, chips, keema nann and majority of life's little balls of joy are all carbs. So don't cut them out because you've seen someone preach that you need to cut them out to lose weight.

πŸ’₯ Another bit of advice I'd give not only to my clients but to anybody starting their fitness/diet/wellness journey in 2026 would be. GET. YOUR. STEPS. IN. It's as simple as that. The lowest intensity form of exercise there is and one form of exercise you're able to do daily

🚫 I can bet my dog that you can walk every single day getting your 10k in but you will struggle to get your 10k in a day by running everyday due to the demand running will put on your body especially if you're new to this sort of thing.

πŸ€” Don't be the person who says "I haven't got time" or "I haven't got a active job". If you've got a desk job/office job and then come home and sit on the sofa all night then long term you're gonna get fat it's simple as that.

πŸ”₯ 30 minutes before work. 30 minutes on your lunch break. 30 minutes after work. Buy a walking pad for at home for if you don't want to go outside, they're way cheaper than a treadmill. Chuck your favourite series on and steady walk while watching it. Watch how quick time goes.

🚫 Please do not weigh yourself in the gym as it will not be your true body weight.

πŸ€” Way to many people I see weigh themselves when they're fully clothed, just necked a litre of water after a day in work after 2 meals or so. Doing this will only add maybe 5/7lbs of weight which is not your true bodyweight

πŸ’™ All my clients and everybody should be weighing first thing in the morning. Naked. Before food/drink & after going to the toilet. The true actual weight you are.
