🐾 Making Wishes Come True! 🐾 ⭐

Resident Mariana made a Christmas wish and she wished for a visit from a cat… so today we made it happen! 😻✨

with the help of our wonderful kind carer Mercedes 🙏🏻 we were able to enjoy a visit from 6-month-old Kitten Dexter,

After surprising Mariana and others throughout the home, We transformed our Cinema into a cosy little Kitten Café, so people could come for a cuddle 🐾 🥰

Dexter loved exploring (the Christmas lights) and finding little spaces to sneak into 😂

Cat loving resident Rosemary and her daughter Sue were in there element!! 🥰

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — creating happiness, and bringing smiles to as many of our residents. As we can 💛

🐧 Unique Magical Christmas Moment 🐧✨

This year’s Christmas Light Switch-On was nothing short of spectacular! 😮

Our residents were so surprised as they didn’t believe us when we told them that we really would have visits from real-life penguins,

What a delight to meet Pringle and Harriet who waddled in to our snowy ice palace with their wonderful professional handlers from Heythrop Zoological Gardens to help us kick off the start of the festive season ✨

The joy on everyone’s faces was absolutely priceless — gentle cuddles, soft feathers, and so many smiles! 💙❄️

Seeing our residents light up as they held and interacted with these beautiful little visitors is a memory we hope they and there families will treasure forever ❤️

A huge thank-you to the amazing animal care team who ensured the penguins were comfortable, calm, and happy throughout their visit 🥰 they seemed to love these little igloo outside in the snow! ❄️

✨ What a Magical Evening! ✨

Last night our care home was transformed into a sparkling Ice Palace 🧊 for our Annual Christmas Light Switch-On, and it truly couldn’t have been more magical! ❄️🎄

Residents, families, and friends of our community gathered together to enjoy:
🎶 A welcoming relaxing harp performance and beautiful live singing 🎶
☕️ Festive refreshments from our company catering team including Baileys Hot Chocolates and cranberry sausage rolls 😋
🎅 A special visit from Santa himself
❄️ amazing flurries of snow that bought the Christmas spirit to life
🐧 And the stars of the show… real-life penguins who charmed absolutely everyone!

A heartfelt thank you to our
town Mayor Councillor Rawda Jehanli Mayor of Abingdon on Thames for joining us and officially switching on the lights with Home manger Marta and Santa 🎅🏻 — your support made the evening even more special.

Our home is glowing brightly tonight, not just from the lights, but from the joy shared by all who joined us. ✨💙

We hope that our Beautiful lit up home brings some joy to and beyond, Wishing everyone a warm and wonderful festive season! 🎄💫

🏠✨ Dolls’ House Restoration Fun! ✨🏠

Today our unique Dolls’ House Group had a wonderful time bringing tiny treasures back to life! Residents enjoyed working with miniature furniture, sharing memories, and adding their own creative touches to the little rooms 👏

There were plenty of smiles, careful hands, and lovely conversations as everyone worked together on this charming project.
It’s amazing how something so small can spark so much joy! 💛

We can’t wait to see the next little transformations. 🪑✨

Our residents spent a lovely afternoon enjoying live music and singing along to favourite hits from across the decades.

From timeless classics to upbeat tunes, the room was full of smiles, memories, and happy voices. 💛
Music truly brings joy to every generation and we loved seeing our families and team enjoy this together 😊
