The fun isn’t over yet! If you haven’t popped in to take a look, please do — everything is completely free of charge. Our residents have loved browsing the items, enjoying plenty of socialising, laughter, tea, and biscuits along the way. ☕🍪

We had the best time wandering around, admiring all the beautiful Christmas decorations and snapping some festive photos — just like the ones you see here! 🎄📸

After our stroll, we treated ourselves to warm drinks and delicious cakes… the perfect way to cosy up on a chilly day. ☕🍰❄️

Join our residents, and your loved ones for a joyful, relaxed “Black Friday” event where every single item has been kindly donated and is completely FREE. ❤️

It’s a lovely opportunity for seniors to enjoy the fun of browsing, choosing treasures, and sharing the experience together. And of course, we’ll have plenty of tea and biscuits to go around. ☕️ 🛍️

✨ Celebrating 60 Years of Love ✨
Today we celebrated Colin & Margaret’s incredible diamond wedding anniversary. 💎❤️

All the family came together to honour this beautiful couple whose love continues to inspire the next generation.
They enjoyed a delicious cake made by our wonderful kitchen team 🍰, and shared treasured memories and photos from their wedding day — so many smiles and stories!

We ended the celebration with a glass of sherry 🥂
Here’s to 60 years of love, devotion, and togetherness.

Who says PJs are just for bedtime? 😄💤
Our staff rocked their pyjamas today, giving residents plenty of laughs! We treated everyone to hot chocolates piled high with cream, marshmallows and sprinkles. This afternoon we’re continuing the cosy vibe with pyjama-themed armchair exercise and games. What a day! ☕✨

We are receiving lots of donations of lovely items for this event. We are so very grateful ! We are looking for clothes rails to provide a shoppers experience as we have lots of clothing items. Can anyone help? Thank you all for your kind donations.

🎄 Festive Menu Tasting Day! 🎄
Our Head Chef Matt and his amazing kitchen team have been busy again — whipping up some delicious festive creations as we prepare for our Christmas Day Menu and the festive season ahead! 👨‍🍳✨

Today’s tasting session was pure Christmas magic 🎅 We sampled 5 mains and 5 desserts — and wow, it’s going to be tough choosing what makes the final cut!

🍽️ Mains we tried:
1️⃣ Classic Roast Turkey
2️⃣ Turkey Roulade
3️⃣ Cranberry-Glazed Nut Roast
4️⃣ Mushroom, Cranberry & Brie Wellington
5️⃣ Orange & Honey Seabass

🍰 Desserts we devoured:
1️⃣ Classic Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce
2️⃣ Sherry Trifle
3️⃣ Triple Chocolate Brownie with Brandy & White Chocolate Sauce
4️⃣ Vanilla Panna Cotta with Mulled Wine Poached Pear
5️⃣ Gingerbread Cheesecake

This afternoon, we came together to remember, reflect, and celebrate with music.
A heartfelt thank you to Alan, our talented saxophonist, for bringing such wonderful energy and soul to the day.
His music filled our hearts and reminded us of the strength we share when we stand united. ❤️🎷

🌺 Remembrance Day at Stowford House 🌺

Today we had the honour of welcoming members of the British Army to Stowford House as we gathered to remember and reflect. Our residents, including those who proudly served, were deeply touched by the visit.

We listened to a heartfelt speech from the Quartermaster, joined voices together for the National Anthem, and ended with the moving words of “We’ll Meet Again.”

A truly special day of gratitude, remembrance, and unity — reminding us all of the courage and sacrifice of those who have served. ❤️
