Hyndburn Bereavement Support Group – providing a safe, supportive and caring space for anyone navigating grief 💙

Are Bereavement Support Groups right for me? 💙

It’s a question many people ask, and the answer is different for everyone. If you’ve ever wondered, here are a few gentle thoughts that might help:

✨ “I’m nervous about coming for the first time…”
For many people, the hardest step isn’t talking — it’s simply walking through the door. Coming into an unfamiliar space and not knowing what to expect can feel overwhelming, and that’s completely natural. There’s no pressure when you arrive — you don’t have to speak or share until you feel ready. Many people come along just to listen at first, and that’s perfectly okay.

✨ “What if I get upset?”
Emotions are always welcome. Our group is a safe, supportive space where you can feel however you need to feel.

✨ “I don’t know anyone…”
Many people feel this way at the start. You’ll be met with warmth, understanding, and others who truly ‘get it’.

✨ “Will it help me?”
While everyone’s journey is different, many find comfort in sharing, listening, and realising they’re not alone.

Our Bereavement Group is a place of kindness, connection, and support — take things at your own pace, in your own way.

If you’d like to learn more or join us, we’re always here 💫

Today, on Mother’s Day, we pause to honour the women whose love shapes our lives in ways that never fade. 💐

For many, today is filled with flowers, cards, and warm embraces. For others, it may be a quieter day, one of reflection, remembrance, and holding close the memories of a mother who is dearly missed.

At our funeral home, we are thinking especially of those who are remembering their mums today. May the memories you hold bring comfort, and may you feel surrounded by the love she gave so freely.

To all mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures, thank you for the care, strength, and compassion you bring to the world. And to those remembering a beloved mum today, we hold you in our thoughts. 🤍

🌿 Grief Walk & Talk 🌿

Last night we held our very first Grief Walk & Talk, and it was truly special.

A small group of us came together for a gentle one-hour walk, sharing stories, listening, and supporting one another. Some people talked, some simply walked and listened, and both were perfectly okay. It was a reminder that grief can feel a little lighter when we walk alongside others who understand. 💙

We would love for you to join us at our next walk.
