๐ถ๐ผ C-Section Awareness Month ๐ถ๐ผ
A picture that speaks 1000 wordsโฆa mummy, sat alone on the operating table, in a room full of people, waiting to meet her baby ๐ฅน
I will never forget these moments and I tear up every time I see these photos, they stir up so many emotions but this is an important message I want to shine light on!
I often get met with โIโm so sorryโ when I say I had another emergency c-section with H and I always reply politely with โitโs okayโโฆbut why are you sorry? I am not sorry, I brought my daughters into this world safely and they are both perfect in every way. ๐๐
C-sections are not failing, you donโt need to feel sorry for someone if they had one. Itโs a perfectly normal way to birth a child, we need to do away with the stigmas around c-sections and the way people feel the need to make women feel guilty for having one.
Both of mine were amazing, empowering, enjoyable experiences! I still birthed my children, trust me I have the scar to prove it ๐คฃ, and my prize at the end was meeting my gorgeous babies and I wouldnโt change a thing about either of my births.
I am a proud c-section Mumma and you should be too ๐๐๐
