There are moments in life that stop you in your tracks.
Cancer was one of mine.
When I look back at photos of my kids growing up, my heart aches a little - not with regret, but with awareness.
I wish I’d had the tools back then.
I wish I’d understood what was happening inside my body, and theirs, not just how busy life felt on the outside.
I wish I’d been able to show them what proactive care, awareness, and prevention really looks like.
But here’s the thing…
Life doesn’t ask for perfection.
It asks for growth.
Today, I get to lead differently.
I get to choose better.
I get to show my children and my daughter who is carrying my grandchild and other families - that it’s never too late to take responsibility for your wellbeing and change the trajectory.
Your kids are watching.
Your family is watching.
Not to see you be perfect - but to see you care enough to lead.
I understand health now and If my journey means another mum asks better questions…
If it helps another family become more aware, more empowered, more connected to their bodies…
Then everything I’ve walked through has meaning.
Kids and family are everything.
You owe it to yourself - and to them - to set the example and lead the way.
