Life has changed for many of us, for better or for worse. Crucially, it has had a massive impact on the lives of children with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other additional needs, as well as how they are supported by staff, parents and carers. This event will look at questions that have arisen around supporting children and young people during the Covid-19 lockdown, and how we can use that information moving forward to better support our young people.
Research on Lockdown and Autism: Dr Georgia Pavlopoulou will present her research findings.
Personal Reflections on Lockdown: Andrew Smith will speak about his own experiences of lockdown, followed by a video collating all the submissions from children and young people.
Imagining the Future After Lockdown: Discussion between a panel of parents and carers about moving forward from lockdown.
