⚠️ Important Biosecurity Reminder ⚠️
Hi all – we hope you’re enjoying the sunshine!
We wanted to remind all members about the importance of biosecurity, as several outbreaks of Koi Herpes Virus (KHV) have been reported in southern England in the last few days (as listed on the government website).
KHV is a serious and highly contagious disease affecting carp, and once it’s present in a fishery, it can have devastating consequences.
✅ Please ensure all nets, mats, slings, and any other equipment are completely dry before entering ANY fishery – this is one of the most effective ways to stop the spread.
✅ If possible, disinfect your gear between sessions.
✅ Never share wet equipment between venues.
Let’s all do our bit to protect our waters and fish stocks. Thank you for helping to keep Farnham Angling Society fisheries safe and healthy.
🎣 Stay safe, stay responsible, and tight lines!
