🐾 November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month 🐾

There’s something really special about older animals. They’ve usually been through a lot, but they still have so much love to give — and they seem to know when they’ve finally found home.

Senior pets are often calmer, already trained, and just want someone to love them for who they are. They make the most wonderful companions, gentle souls with wise eyes and huge hearts.
If you’ve ever thought about adopting, maybe this is your sign to give an older one a second chance.

All my courses and workshops can be done one-to-one – perfect if you’d like a more relaxed, personal pace, or if weekdays work better for you. You can also book a session with a friend, so you can learn, practise, and share the experience together.

Pricing:
Full courses (2 days): £375
£125 non-refundable deposit secures your place
Balance can be spread over 3 monthly
instalments

Workshops: £125 each or £200 if both are booked for the same day

Wow… is it really November already?

I feel like I blinked and 2025 has flown by! I can’t quite believe Christmas is just around the corner.

This month I’ve got a bit of space for one-to-one training if you’ve been thinking about finishing a course or workshop before the end of the year. (Group courses will be back in February once we’ve all had time to defrost!)

I’ve also got gift vouchers available – perfect if you’d like to treat yourself or surprise an animal lover with something a bit more meaningful this Christmas.

Samhain is such a powerful time ,a moment to pause, reflect, and connect. For me, it’s not just about honouring the cycles of life, but also about connecting more deeply with the animals I work with.

This is a time when the veil feels thinner, and our bonds with our animal companions ,past and present ,can feel even stronger.

I love taking a moment to tune in to their energy, to see how they’re feeling, and to send them love and healing as we move into the darker months.

Wishing you and your animals a peaceful, connected, and magical Samhain.

Did you know I offer a quick question service?

Sometimes you don’t need a full session just a simple check-in with your animal to ask a question or two. It could be something practical, like checking how they’re coping while you're away, or something more emotional, such as gently asking if they’re ready to transition when the time comes.

The quick question service is £25 and done as a photo reading. All I need is a clear photo of your animal and your question, and I’ll tune in and share what comes through.

It’s That Time of Year Again... Bonfire Night Is Coming

For many animals, this season isn’t full of excitement ,it’s full of fear.

I’ve seen both sides of it with my own dogs. My beautiful Flatcoats, Maddy and Scarlett, were completely unbothered by fireworks in fact, Maddy used to love watching them light up the sky.

But Bimble was different. Fireworks terrified her. I’ll never forget the way she would tremble, unable to settle, eyes wide with fear. It was awful to witness , knowing I couldn’t stop the noise, but desperately wanting to take her fear away.
Through her, I learned how important it is to support our animals emotionally and energetically during this time ,to be their calm, their safe place, their grounding.

Because for some animals, fireworks don’t just cause stress. They can lead to injury, illness, or even death.

So, What Can We Do to Help?

Prepare a Safe Space
Create a quiet, cozy den or retreat where they can hide and feel protected.

Stay Calm
Animals pick up on our energy. If we’re anxious, they’ll feel it too. Ground yourself, breathe, and be the calm they need.

Speak to Them Gently
Explain what’s happening ,either out loud or energetically through animal communication. Your intention matters more than words.

Use Holistic Support
Reiki, flower remedies, calming sprays, and gentle energy work can really help sensitive animals regulate and feel supported.

Block Out the Noise
Close windows and curtains, play soothing music, and reduce the shock of sudden bangs.

Don’t Leave Them Alone If You Can Help It
Your presence makes a world of difference. Just being there can bring comfort and reassurance.

We might not be able to stop the fireworks…
But we can hold space for peace, comfort, and safety.

Connecting and Being Present with Your Horse

One of the most powerful things you can offer your horse is your presence. Not training, not technique ,just you, calm, grounded, and open.

When you slow down, breathe, and truly be with your horse without an agenda , something beautiful happens. You start to feel their energy shift. Their breathing softens. They might turn an ear towards you, lower their head, or come a little closer.

Horses live fully in the present moment. When we meet them there, it strengthens the bond between us. They learn to trust our energy, to relax in our company, and to communicate more openly.

Here are a few simple ways to connect and be more present:

✨ Take a few deep breaths before you approach your horse.
✨ Leave your phone, your thoughts, and your plans outside the stable.
✨ Spend quiet time just being near them — no pressure to do anything.
✨ Notice the small signals they give you — they’re always speaking.

The more present you become, the more your horse mirrors that peace back to you. It’s a reminder that connection doesn’t come from doing, but from being.

Dory is looking so relaxed after her healing and communication session.

It’s always heartbreaking when a pony has suffered so much at the hands of humans, but deeply heartwarming to know they’ve finally found a home where they’re truly seen, respected, and loved.

Her new humans care more about what Dory wants and needs than their own expectations — they simply want her to have the life she deserves.

This little lady is an old soul, with wisdom far beyond her years and a real gift for teaching others. She’s been through so much, yet she’s come back stronger, softer, and more herself than ever.

Our Story

Spiritheart Holistic Animal Therapy was established in March 2016 by Animal Healer and Communicator Sarah Edwards-Keeling to help animals and their human companions feel better, perform better and live healthier,happier lives.

We provide three main services

Animal Healing and Communication Sessions which use a combination of Reiki (a gentle non-invasive ancient Japanese Healing Technique), Animal Communication and Crystals Therapy too. We also provide joint sessions for animals and their owners so that the owner can benefit too.

Courses & Workshops, we provide a range of courses and workshops for those wishing to learn how to carry out animal healing and communication too.
