🌟 Another Wonderful Day at Parklands! 🌟

It’s been a busy, joyful and activity‑packed day here at Parklands, filled with creativity, memories, music and plenty of smiles 💛

🧺 Anne & Loveness got creative with napkin folding as they prepared for meal service — a lovely moment of teamwork and skill‑sharing!

🏴 Moira enjoyed a beautiful reminiscence session all about Riddie, where she originated from. We even managed to find her old house online, which absolutely thrilled her — such a special moment 💙

🪩 Daytime disco fun!
Residents Margaret, Christine, Edna and Isobel enjoyed dancing and sampling drinks through the DanceSing programme, supported by colleagues Molly (SN) and Ellen (CA). The room was full of laughter, movement and fabulous energy!

🔤 A–Z of Boys’ Names with Fiona
Colleague Fiona led a fun‑filled activity exploring boys’ names from A to Z, with plenty of great suggestions from our residents.

We also had a visit from Mark (maintenance) — resident Gladys and Mark share a lovely tradition of giving 10 fist bumps every time they see each other!

🎵🌏 Armchair Travels & Elvis Tunes at Parklands! 🌏🎵

Today our Parklands community enjoyed a fantastic armchair travel adventure to Australia — no passports required! 🇦🇺✨

We explored the sights, sounds and stories of the Land Down Under, sparking lots of lovely conversations and memories.

And by special request from resident May, we followed it up with an Elvis singalong! 🎤💙
From “Can’t Help Falling in Love” to “Suspicious Minds”, the room was filled with music, smiles and plenty of toe‑tapping.

A wonderful mix of fun, learning and feel‑good nostalgia! 🌟😊

💪👟 Sittersize with George & Jane at Parklands! 👟💪

We were absolutely delighted to welcome back George and Jane for a much‑loved Sittersize session, and what a special moment it was for everyone ❤️

After a five‑month break, it meant so much to see them return, especially as residents had been asking every week when they would be back. The smiles, excitement and warmth in the room said it all 🥰✨

The session was filled with gentle movement, encouragement and a wonderful sense of togetherness - and everyone is already looking forward to next month’s session ☺️🌟

💖 Hand & Nail Pamper with Jackie 💖
Everyone was treated to a soothing pamper session, leaving hands feeling refreshed and beautifully cared for. Lots of smiles and plenty of chatter filled the room!

🎨 Watercolour Painting with Corri 🎨
Meanwhile, a calming watercolour session brought out some wonderful creativity. Soft colours, steady brush strokes and peaceful moments made it a perfect way to unwind.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely Reminiscence Coffee Morning, sharing stories and memories inspired by the theme “Childhood & Where You Grew Up” 💭💛

There were so many wonderful conversations, with fond memories from Alloa, Sauchie and Menstrie, as well as places further afield including Blantyre, Shettleston and Castle Bromwich 🏡✨

Everyone relaxed with a fresh cup of coffee and also enjoyed sampling the delicious shortbread baked by Christine and Isobel the day before - a real treat 🥰🍪

A big well done to Isobel and Christine, who did a fantastic job making these tasty treats — they were certainly enjoyed by all! 👏

Baking sessions like this are a lovely way to share skills, spark conversation and enjoy a real sense of achievement 🌟
