👋🏻 Helloooo, I’m Dawn — a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist, based in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
I thought it’s time I showed the face of DawnCBT! I work remotely with stress, anxiety, low mood & emotional ups and downs.

Outwith work, I’m just a regular human who loves:
🐾 Spending time with my pets (this is 1 of 4)
🍳 Cooking & eating
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & friends
🌳 Being in nature & watching sunsets (I’m happiest near trees or water)
✨ Looking at the night sky and wondering about everything… 💭

This makes me both happy and sad. I’m happy we’re approaching autumn, but at the same time I’m sad we’re leaving behind summer.

I love early nights, cosy clothes, and snuggling up — but I also love the lighter evenings, the longer days, and not being cold! (Raynaulds sufferer here 😭)

This is a good reminder that we can experience opposite emotions at the same time. Our feelings are rarely black and white, and it’s completely normal to hold mixed emotions.

In CBT, we often focus on noticing and accepting these emotions rather than judging them. When we allow space for all our feelings, it helps us respond in a kinder, more balanced way. 💛
