🧩A Joyful Games Day at Bluebell Villa🎲

Games Day at our newly opened Bluebell Villa was full of laughter, friendly competition and activities that kept everyone engaged. 💚✨

We also had an active games session where our Residents and team played dominoes, card games and worked together on the Pony Parade jigsaw puzzle from the BIG 500 series. 🧩🎲🃏

It was wonderful to see the home so lively and warm as our Residents and team spent time playing games together. 🤗🍀

🚣🏻‍♂️A Relaxing Day by the River Dee🌞

We stepped away from the bustle of Chester and wandered just outside the city walls for a relaxing afternoon at the Boathouse Inn. It was the perfect spot for our Residents from Bluebell Villa to unwind by the river. 🚣🏻‍♂️✨

Everyone enjoyed classic favourite burgers, chips, beer, a glass of wine and a few delicious treats while taking in the beautiful views of the River Dee from the floating restaurant. 🍻🍔

The laughter, the gentle breeze and the calm setting made the whole day feel extra special. 🌞💚

🛥️Boat Trip on the River Dee🌞

We would love to share a relaxing moment from Bluebell Villa, where our Residents enjoyed a boat trip along the River Dee, taking in the beautiful views and the calm atmosphere. ✨🏕️

The Lady Diana boat joined the fleet in 1981, the same year Lady Diana and Prince Charles were married, and this little detail made the trip feel even more special. Our Residents also enjoyed the sunshine and their ice cream cones near the deck. 🍦🧓🏻

It truly was a lovely day on the Lady Diana boat, filled with laughter, and the simple joy of being out together. 🤗💚

🌸Floral Arrangements for Lavender Villa🌸

Our Wellbeing Coordinator, Sam, welcomed Jenny, a resident’s family member, who kindly donated all the flowers and materials for the activity.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed creating their arrangements together, and their bright smiles were the highlight of the afternoon. 💐🌼

🌼Spring into Arlington Grove🌸

Earlier this Easter holiday, we hosted our Spring event, embracing the sunshine, energy, and joyful spirit of the season🐣☀️

Residents and our guests came together to enjoy a wonderful afternoon 🎶, accompanied by a live jazz band 🎷. Friends and family shared a delicious afternoon tea ☕🍰, creating a warm and lively atmosphere throughout the home.🏡✨

We were also joined by some very special (and very cute!) animal visitors 🐾, including donkeys🫏, guinea pigs 🐹, rabbits 🐰, and even sheep 🐑. The children especially had a fantastic time meeting them all 😄🎉

Every smile we saw that day 😊💖 reminded us why we do what we do. It truly means everything to us.

🌳Caring Beyond Our Homes: Supporting Wildlife at Bristol Zoo Project 🦍🌍

Looking for something to do this long weekend? The new African Forest at Bristol Zoo Project is well worth a visit!🌳✨

This remarkable space brings visitors closer to nature 🌳 and is home to incredible species, including the western lowland gorillas 🦍, where Cedar Care Homes are proud to be headline sponsors.🤝

Earlier this spring, the project was marked by a special visit from His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh👑, patron of the Bristol Zoological Society, who highlighted the importance of protecting natural habitats🌍and the vital connection between wildlife and the environment.🌱

🪻Bluebell Villa Opens Its Heart to the Chester Community🌸

Bluebell Villa welcomed the Chester community for a special afternoon filled with connection, conversation and celebration.🎉
Residents, families, neighbours and local guests came together to enjoy a warm and friendly gathering. It was a lovely reminder that Bluebell Villa is more than a care home. It is a place where community and belonging truly matter. ✨🏡

We were delighted to welcome the Sheriff of Chester and the Sheriff’s Lady, Simon and Kate Eardley, who joined one of our family owners, Arjun Desai, to mark the occasion. Their presence reflected Bluebell Villa’s growing place within the Chester community.💚

One of our Residents, John, shared his experience:

🌕Museum of the Moon at Chester Cathedral✨

Experiencing the giant glowing Moon at Chester Cathedral was a soothing and memorable experience for our Residents from Lavender Villa. It was wonderful to see this beautiful artwork by Luke Jerram, paired with the calming soundscape by Dan Jones. ✨🌘

The six-metre sculpture, created using detailed NASA lunar images, glows from within and creates a peaceful, immersive atmosphere that our Residents truly enjoyed. 🧘🏻🎼
