🎸✨ Celebrating Elvis Presley’s Birthday at Redwoods Care Home! ✨🎸

We had a fabulous day at Redwoods Care Home as we celebrated the birthday of the one and only Elvis Presley 💙🎤

🎶 Morning Sing‑Along
The day kicked off with a lively Elvis sing‑along, featuring some of his most loved songs. Residents enjoyed singing along, tapping their feet and sharing lovely memories connected to his music — it was wonderful to see everyone so engaged 😊🎶

🎬 Afternoon Movie Time
In the afternoon, residents settled in for a classic Elvis film. The home was made warm and cosy, everyone was comfortable and refreshments were enjoyed as part of a relaxed, cinema‑style experience 🍿🎥✨

It truly was a special day filled with music, smiles, and shared memories — moments like these bring so much joy to our community 💙🥰

We were delighted to welcome Rev Alistair Drummond from Kilmuir & Logie Easter Church of Scotland for our Christmas church service. 🎄

Through beautiful singing 🎶 and thoughtful reflection, Alistair shared the true meaning of Christmas with our residents and colleagues. Everyone listened attentively and enjoyed a peaceful, uplifting service that brought comfort, joy, and a wonderful sense of togetherness during this festive season. 💖

🎄✨ A fantastic Christmas raffle at Redwoods ✨🎄

Our Christmas raffle this year raised just over £600, thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community.

A huge thank you goes to the kind donor of a wood-fired pizza oven, which helped make the raffle such a success, and to one of our residents who kindly stepped in to draw the winning ticket.

Moments like these highlight the wonderful support around our home and the role our residents play in making every event so special. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this such a brilliant festive fundraiser 💚

We can’t thank Audrey enough for coming in every week to do our residents’ hair – her kindness, warmth, and dedication truly brighten their days.

This Christmas Eve was extra special as we came together to enjoy delicious mince pies, kindly donated by Lidl Alness, for everyone at the home 🥧✨

🎄✨ A wonderful afternoon of carol singing at Redwoods ✨🎄

We were delighted to welcome the Northern Lights Choir to our home last week. Everyone had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful carol singing, and the choir truly went above and beyond by performing in all three of our lounges to ensure nobody missed out 🎶

It was a lovely afternoon that brought smiles, festive cheer and a real sense of togetherness, filling our home with the spirit of Christmas 💚
