🎄✨ A fantastic Christmas raffle at Redwoods ✨🎄

Our Christmas raffle this year raised just over £600, thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community.

A huge thank you goes to the kind donor of a wood-fired pizza oven, which helped make the raffle such a success, and to one of our residents who kindly stepped in to draw the winning ticket.

Moments like these highlight the wonderful support around our home and the role our residents play in making every event so special. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this such a brilliant festive fundraiser 💚

🎄✨ Christmas Eve at Redwoods Hairdresser ✨🎄

We can’t thank Audrey enough for coming in every week to do our residents’ hair – her kindness, warmth, and dedication truly brighten their days.

This Christmas Eve was extra special as we came together to enjoy delicious mince pies, kindly donated by Lidl Alness, for everyone at the home 🥧✨

🎄✨ A wonderful afternoon of carol singing at Redwoods ✨🎄

We were delighted to welcome the Northern Lights Choir to our home last week. Everyone had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful carol singing, and the choir truly went above and beyond by performing in all three of our lounges to ensure nobody missed out 🎶

It was a lovely afternoon that brought smiles, festive cheer and a real sense of togetherness, filling our home with the spirit of Christmas 💚

We were delighted to welcome Ankerville Nursery, who visited Redwoods Care Home to sing Christmas songs with our residents. Everyone joined in, filling the room with music, laughter and plenty of festive cheer 🎶😊

It was a wonderful morning that truly lifted spirits, bringing generations together and reminding us of the joy that comes from staying connected with our local community at Christmas 💚

We were delighted to welcome Ankerville Nursery, who visited Redwoods Care Home this Christmas to sing festive songs with our residents. Everyone joined in, filling the room with music, laughter and plenty of Christmas cheer 🎶😊

The children’s visit brought so much joy into the home, creating a lovely sense of togetherness and reminding us how important intergenerational activities are in keeping our residents connected to the wider community.

🍪🏠✨ Gingerbread House Fun at Redwoods! ✨🏠🍪

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed decorating our gingerbread house, with residents joined by family members and friends who came along to support their loved ones. 💖

Our colleagues loved being part of the fun too, and the results were truly amazing!
Once finished, everyone happily enjoyed the sweet creations together with a relaxing afternoon cuppa. ☕🍰

This December, colleagues, residents, families and friends from across all 27 Meallmore care homes came together to do something truly special.

Through our Meallmore Reindeer Run, we collectively:
✔ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝟰,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀
✔ 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 £𝟮,𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Cash for Kids – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀
✔ 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 to support children and families across our local communities

From walking, wheeling, cycling and adapting activities, to festive costumes, creativity and teamwork, this was a challenge that everyone could be part of — and that’s what made it so powerful.

More than a fundraiser, the Reindeer Run was about:

💚 Bringing people together
💚 Supporting families beyond our homes
💚 Showing what’s possible when communities work as one

Meallmore’s Reindeer Run saw 27 care homes travel 4,800 miles, raising £2,260 and donating over 250 gifts for Cash for Kids.

🎄✨ Christmas Bingo Fun at Redwoods! ✨🎄

What a fantastic afternoon we had playing Christmas Bingo! Everyone was a winner today, and the festive spirit was in full swing with plenty of laughter and cheerful calls of “Rudolph!” for a full house.

A huge thank you to the amazing pupils from Alness Academy for assisting and making the day extra special.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Anna, Charlene, and Natalie from The Place for bringing sweet treats for Christmas Day and for their continued support in organising these visits.

These moments of joy and community are what the season is all about! 🎁

Our home is sparkling with holiday magic! With five beautifully decorated Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and cosy corners, it truly feels like a winter wonderland.

🎄✨ Fox’s Tales Christmas Day – Part 2! ✨🎄

Part 2 of our Fox’s Tales Christmas Day at Redwoods Care Home was filled with pure festive magic. ❤️

We spent a joyful morning singing Christmas songs with our residents, filling the home with music, smiles and seasonal sparkle. 🎅✨

The little ones joined us too — babies and toddlers bringing laughter, playtime and plenty of heart-warming moments for everyone. 💕

A truly special start to the day, shared with wonderful residents, families and colleagues. ❤️
