🚨 Important Update: Rise in Flu Cases 🚨

We’re seeing an increase in flu and other respiratory illnesses in the community. To help protect our patients and staff, we kindly ask anyone with coughs, sore throats, fevers, or other respiratory symptoms to wear a mask when visiting the surgery.

😷 Don’t worry—masks will be provided at the door if you don’t have one.

The Weight management drop-in clinic is not on, Thursday December 4th, due to annual leave. It will be back as normal from the 11th.

Patient Notice: Regional PLT Session – Wednesday 26 November 2025

We would like to inform our patients that today, Wednesday 26 November 2025, our team will be taking part in a regional Protected Learning Time (PLT) session.

During this time:

Telephone Lines: From 12:00pm to 6:30pm, our phone lines will be diverted to Vocare.

Lower Building: The doors will be closed from 12:00pm to 6:30pm.

Upper Building: The doors will be closed from 1:00pm to 6:30pm.

Podiatry: The main entrance will remain open as normal.

Please note that our e-consult system will be closed today from 10:30am until tomorrow 7am.

We appreciate your understanding while our staff take part in essential training.

To ensure we continue to provide safe and effective care, we kindly ask that, if your concern is not urgent, you please avoid submitting an eConsult request until tomorrow, as non-urgent submissions may be delayed.
For urgent medical issues, please contact NHS 111. In an emergency, please dial 999.

PATIENT NOTICE

I have today circulated a survey for patients to give their feedback on the surgery. This has been circulated to all patients who consent to receiving SMS messages. A paper copy will be circulated to those patients who do not have SMS consent but wish to partake in the survey.

This is a general feedback survey relating to the service we are currently providing. Please DO NOT call the practice to ask questions relating to the survey as this is taking up a lot of time on the phones and these lines need to be free for those who may require urgent attention.

The survey is optional although we would greatly appreciate the feedback to help us see those areas for improvements.

One area to note which has unfortunately not correlated with the survey is that the questions are rated 1-10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

Free to a good home!

We have 4 chairs and 2 coffee tables, both in good condition, that have been replaced from our staff canteen. The items will be free and available for collection from Alnwick Medical Group - Lower Building until 1pm tomorrow.
