On Thursday 11th December, Save the Children's Christmas jumper day is back here at Alston dental practice!
It’s our big chance to raise money, have fun, and create change for children for generations to come!
Please pop in if you would like to donate (even if you are not a current patient).

Good morning everyone from the highest dental practice in England! We are open and ready to go! The roads from brampton are clear and the surrounding areas have been gritted, but as always please take care if you are traveling up to see us today. ⛄️ 🧊 ❄️
Ps - There is not enough snow at the moment for Dr Fotheringham to go skiing at lunchtime which he is extremely disappointed about 🤣⛷️⛷️⛷️

Last week we completed our annual staff training on
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) ❤️🚑
This is an emergency procedure for someone whose breathing or heartbeat has stopped, involving chest compressions and rescue breaths to keep oxygenated blood flowing to the brain and other vital organs.
It is performed until professional medical help arrives or the person starts breathing again. For adults who are unresponsive and not breathing normally, the standard procedure is to call for emergency help and start with 30 chest compressions followed by two rescue breaths, repeating this cycle.
As a dental surgery, it is mandatory we complete this training every year to make sure our staff are trained and competent in the event of an emergency.
