Hampshire Hospitals are changing their pathology information management system. This means we are unable to provide blood tests for the week they go live, 13th to 20th October.
We have accommodated for the reduction in blood tests by adding more to the appointments in the weeks prior and post the go live date. We apologise for any delay to booking a blood test or extended wait you may encounter for a blood test over the upcoming weeks. Thankyou for your co-operation.

Due to sustained pressures at our Basingstoke and Wi******er hospitals, we have declared a critical incident.

This decision has not been taken lightly; however, beds across both hospitals are full and attendance at our emergency departments is extremely high. We need every possible space to treat patients with life threatening conditions and injuries.

Attending our emergency departments for non-life-threatening conditions will mean an extremely long wait. If you need medical assistance, please visit 111.nhs.uk, speak to your GP, visit your local pharmacy, or an urgent treatment centre (UTC) near you.

Please help us protect care for those who need it most:
- Only attend the emergency department for a life-threatening illness or injury.
- If a friend or loved one is ready for discharge, please help by collecting them at the earliest opportunity.
