METHYLFOLATE (5-MTHF) is the bioactive-methylated form of vitamin B9 (i.e. Folic Acid). Around 50% of the population can't adequately convert B9 > methylfolate due to defective genes. Methylfolate is essential in the production of neurotransmitters such as dopamine & serotonin! People with the MTHFR gene are therefore VERY likely to get:
Anxiety
Depression
ADHD symptoms
Addictions
Panic attacks
Restless minds
IF you suffer with these, try supplementing with methylfolate, it might be a very important change. Therapeutic doses start at 1mg and can be up to 15 mg. Start low and build up 👍
