The people living with us, along with their loved ones, had a wonderful time visiting Dunham Massey, a beautiful National Trust location not far from Allingham House.

Everyone enjoyed a relaxing walk around the grounds, followed by time to catch up over tea, coffee, and cake.

We decided that we couldn't keep it all to ourselves and so here's so pictures of the magic we experienced. We hope your week if full of symphonies too! Lots of love, Allingham!

The people living with us had a great time celebrating Robert Burns for the Burn's Night Celebration. They were reading aloud one of his most famous poems 'my love is like a red red rose' with their beloved ones and members of the staff, as well as creating beautiful illustrated poems.

A perfect opportunity for reminiscing, sharing memories about past trips to Scotland and poetry.

Happy New Year 2026 to everyone,

I hope you have an Amazing Christmas time and a Happy New Year so far 🙂

What an amazing experience the Allingham House Live Nativity has been.

From the beginning, it brought together the people who live with us, their families, Allingham House staff, and members from the wider community, fostering strong bonds and a true sense of togetherness. The joy and happiness shared throughout the nativity are deeply meaningful, particularly in seeing residents feel valued, connected, and placed at the heart of the community.

The performance beautifully joins together faith and tradition. These two elements came together through the reading of the holy scriptures, attending to the spiritual needs of those living with us, and interspersing the moments with traditional Christmas carols. It was the perfect blend—one that spread joy and warmth throughout our community and offered a unique, inclusive experience for everyone involved, both performers and spectators.

In fact, we can confirm that many of the spectators, after enjoying the Live Nativity and witnessing the reactions of their loved ones during the performance, approached us to express their interest in joining us next year. We cannot put into words the joy and satisfaction this brought us. Their enthusiasm has truly encouraged us to dream bigger and make it even better for the year ahead.

Last but not least, I would like to thank you to all who gave their time, care, and effort, from creating costumes and stage settings to taking part in rehearsals. Everything was crafted by hand, with love and dedication poured into every detail. Along the way, we created a special bond that continues to grow with us each day, shaped by the timeless memories we made—memories that will stay with us forever.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

In our countdown to Christmas, we took some of our residents to the Christmas markets in Manchester City Centre. We had a nice lunch and a hot drink to help us through the December chills. We spent some quality time together and did lots of sightseeing!

Festive Tidings from Allingham House, to begin our festive season, we had a visit from two very special Shetland ponies named Tallulah and Tinkerbell. Our residents were overjoyed to touch them and have them visit their bedroom. This is one of the many reasons that our residents look forward to this time of year. Season's greetings, Allingham House!

A jazzy hello from Allingham House!

This week we had staff, residents' family members and members of our local church community come together for the ultimate strictly themed dance off. We had latin ballroom dances, a waltz and a rock and roll themed dance. As a bonus act, a staff member introduced our residents to vogue - a vibrant, contemporary dance style from America. Our Allingham community enjoyed deliberating on who should win and it was a great, energetic event for all involved. Until next time!
