Welcome Mr Jamie Barnes FRCS(Plast) to STAR Clinic 💫

Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon specialising in Breast, Body and Facial Aesthetic Surgery and Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction. Jamie is bringing his knowledge and expertise to the clinic. He is on the GMC Specialist register for Plastic Surgery.

Mr Barnes graduated from The University of Manchester Medical School in 2009 and trained in Plastic Surgery in the North West of England and completed subspecialty fellowship training in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and head and neck at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London and Facial, Breast and Body Aesthetic Surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London.

Let’s talk about capsular contracture 💬

After breast augmentation, your body naturally forms a soft layer of scar tissue (called a capsule) around your implant, it’s your immune system’s way of protecting you and completely normal.
