We heard your feedback – too many options can be confusing! So, we’ve simplified things on our website to make finding the right scan quick and stress-free. 💆‍♀️✨

✔ Pregnancy Scans – No more juggling between reassurance, growth, presentation, and wellbeing. We’ve combined them into ONE pregnancy scan available at any stage of your pregnancy. 🤰💖

💰 About Pricing

We’re working hard to make prices consistent across our clinics. Many services now cost the same or very similar in Bury and Hale! 🙌
However, the Hale clinic is more expensive to run, so prices there may still be slightly higher. Thank you for understanding! ❤️

At the start of a new year, we’re excited to be updating you with our latest news.

Shortly before the end of the year, Claire finished for her maternity leave with her baby due soon.

Many of you have given in-person messages to pass on and for everyone who knows Claire, we’re sure you join all of us at Starlight in wishing her, Matt & Rosie all the very best for baby’s safe arrival!

At the same time we’re looking forward to welcoming back Jade this month after her maternity leave. Baby Eliza came into the world earlier this year and we thank husband James, and Eliza’s big brothers Arthur and Edward for looking after Jade and we’re grateful to having her back again!

Jade’s availability has been updated on the booking system and several of you have already booked in with her ahead of her return mid-January.

As with most businesses, we are not immune to the increasing costs we face in delivering the high standards of care you’ve come to expect at Starlight.

To ensure we can continue to maintain these levels, certain services will see modest price increases. Some have remained the same price for over five years as we strive to remain accessible to as wide a group as possible.

However we have to balance that with a mode that is sustainable.

Price rises apply to new bookings only so until they’re updated in the next few days, you can still book any service at the current price.

To reassure you, if you don’t know already, we only ever employ fully qualified, experienced medical professionals.

This is particularly relevant given recent news coverage of many high street and “pop-up” clinics alongside reports of widespread use of unsuitable, inappropriate and unqualified staff members performing ultrasound scans.

We thank every client, patient and customer for visiting us in the past, and we look forward to serving you again soon.

Reassurance, professionalism, compassion are some of the key attributes you can expect from staff at Starlight.

It's heartening to hear from YOU when we exceed your expectations, that YOU felt our staff went above and beyond to deliver care and comfort.

It doesn't matter whether you have been to Starlight for a general medical ultrasound scan, a blood test, a service before, during or after pregnancy, the same high levels of care are afforded to everyone.

❓Lots of people still ask how the Starlight Express Early Gender DNA Blood Test works and if there is any danger to the pregnancy 🤰🏾

💉It works just like any blood test, with a single draw of blood from a pregnant lady's vein, meaning there is no risk of harm to the lady or the pregnancy. 🤰🏼

It is available from just SIX weeks into pregnancy and we offer the test on its own or alongside an early pregnancy scan.

The sample is sent off to the lab via Royal Mail who get very busy at this time of year. 📮

So we advise anyone wanting the test results before Christmas, please allow extra time for your sample to arrive. The lab will be open until Christmas Eve before reopening on Monday 29th December 2025. 📅

Our latest audit of the Starlight Express Blood Test reveals not a single incorrect result so far💯

Of course you have to be at least SIX weeks pregnant for the test but we do still offer gender scans from as early as 13 weeks so you can attend for a scan right up to Christmas Eve to find out gender from a scan.

Thinking of a lovely pregnancy memento for yourself or someone else?

You can get a Heartbeat Teddy from Starlight at any scan appointment from 10 weeks.

Your baby’s heartbeat is recorded and saved onto a device that goes inside the teddy, which makes a lovely keepsake as well as a great gift idea for mums, dads, siblings and grandparents.

You can also book an appointment to have baby’s heartbeat recorded without having an ultrasound scan.

We’ve stocked up with more varieties so we’ve got teddy bears, bunnies and elephants as well as some special Christmas-themed teddies such as penguins, reindeer and snowmen!

They come in various sizes with many available in gender neutral colours such as grey, cream and brown as well as pink or blue ones!
