We're still open (closed Christmas Day & Boxing Day) but currently booked up at both clinics until the first weekend in January but keep an eye out for cancellations or contact us for emergency / urgent appointments and we'll do our best!

❓Lots of people still ask how the Starlight Express Early Gender DNA Blood Test works and if there is any danger to the pregnancy 🤰🏾

💉It works just like any blood test, with a single draw of blood from a pregnant lady's vein, meaning there is no risk of harm to the lady or the pregnancy. 🤰🏼

It is available from just SIX weeks into pregnancy and we offer the test on its own or alongside an early pregnancy scan.

The sample is sent off to the lab via Royal Mail who get very busy at this time of year. 📮

So we advise anyone wanting the test results before Christmas, please allow extra time for your sample to arrive. The lab will be open until Christmas Eve before reopening on Monday 29th December 2025. 📅

Our latest audit of the Starlight Express Blood Test reveals not a single incorrect result so far💯

Of course you have to be at least SIX weeks pregnant for the test but we do still offer gender scans from as early as 13 weeks so you can attend for a scan right up to Christmas Eve to find out gender from a scan.

You can get a Heartbeat Teddy from Starlight at any scan appointment from 10 weeks.

Your baby’s heartbeat is recorded and saved onto a device that goes inside the teddy, which makes a lovely keepsake as well as a great gift idea for mums, dads, siblings and grandparents.

You can also book an appointment to have baby’s heartbeat recorded without having an ultrasound scan.

We’ve stocked up with more varieties so we’ve got teddy bears, bunnies and elephants as well as some special Christmas-themed teddies such as penguins, reindeer and snowmen!

It’s FIVE weeks until Christmas Day

We’ve got Festive Gender Reveals available with the Hale clinic open up to Tuesday 23rd Dec and the Bury clinic open up to Wednesday 24th Dec with the booking system showing our real-time availability.

All other gender scans can be booked online in the normal way.

If you won’t be at least 13 weeks by Christmas Eve but want a Christmas gender reveal, you can still book the Starlight Express Early Gender Blood test the week before.
