The good news is that yoga can strengthen bones, by being a form of low-impact, weight-bearing exercise that stimulates bone-forming cells. The poses use your body weight to create gentle resistance, helping to build and maintain bone density, especially when poses are held for a sufficient duration.
It also improves balance and posture too, which lowers the risk of falls and fractures.

Yoga therapy requires the therapist to use their skills of listening, acknowledging, understanding, observing, drawing on exisiting knowledge and collaborating with the careseeker to develop yoga practices that support change in the direction of better health.

It requires being open to how the careseeker is when they arrive - adapting when necessary and yet sustaining the direction.

It involves accepting and valuing a person as they are, without judgment, criticism, or evaluation.
