Gateway School
Gateway school have blocked my personal page so I can’t display this comment but this horrible situation happened and myself nor my daughter ever received an apology. So I will continue to find ways to make my experience publicly known despite Gateway trying to push it under the carpet.
After many months of bullying by a fellow pupil and lack of appropriate acknowledgement of this by Gateway, I had to remove my daughter from the school. We escalated our complaint of bullying to Stage 3 which was an investigation by an external panel. Small win to finally have it officially acknowledged and upheld by the panel that yes it was indeed bullying! And that the school ‘.. should review its procedures for dealing with incidents of bullying behaviours..’
This doesn’t help my daughter who was consistently bullied over a period of many months, resulting in panic attacks and leaving me with no choice but to remove her for the sake of her emotional and mental well being. Even though the school refused to admit she was being bullied, I hope they now finally make the necessary changes to prevent such incidents from happening to other children attending the school. But we will certainly now be looking for a more supportive and safe school environment for our daughter moving forward and hope to put this horrendous experience behind us. *Ive now added the panel's responses on my daughter's bullying. Gateway could have acknowledged the truth of what was happening rather than prolonging a horrible and damaging clear cut case of bullying. Shame on you Mrs Bufton-Green.
