Professional Profile
I am an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with over a decade of experience in providing tailored care and support across a range of settings, including individuals’ own homes, care homes, and community environments. I hold a full DBS and public liability insurance, and I have academic grounding in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Biology at AS Level, as well as formal study in Occupational Therapy.
Since 2013, I have worked in diverse roles within health and social care. My experience includes:
Support Worker: Providing vital support to individuals living independently, assisting with daily living tasks, promoting autonomy, and improving quality of life.
Rehabilitation Support Worker: Delivering therapy-based support in care homes and the community under the guidance of Occupational and Physiotherapists, aiding patient recovery and reintegration into their homes.
Activities Coordinator: Organising stimulating, inclusive, and meaningful activities for residents—primarily those living with dementia—while managing budgets, booking entertainment, and planning events to enhance wellbeing.
Alzheimer’s Support Worker: Offering respite for carers by accompanying clients to social groups, lunch outings, and therapeutic activities tailored to their interests and needs.
Age UK – Home from Hospital Team (2022–Present): Supporting older adults with light domestic tasks, shopping, and errands during their post-discharge period, facilitating smoother transitions from hospital to home.
Having gained extensive hands-on experience and deep insight into individualised care, I have recently taken the step to establish myself as an independent service provider. I am passionate about promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for every person I support.
