Are you having difficulty using your inhalers, do you think you are using inhalers incorrectly, are you using more than you should.?
If you think this is you, call into Amlwch pharmacy and we will do an inhaler review with you enabling you to use your inhaler correctly.

Common Ailment Service

Our pharmacy can offer you a free NHS consultation and free medication for some common ailments……no need to make an appointment with your GP.

Dermatitis (dry skin)

Ingrown toenail
Mouth ulcers
Nappy rash
Oral thrush
Ringworm
Scabies
Sore throat
Teething
Threadworm
UTI
Vaginal thrush
Verruca

Not all will need medication, sometimes advice is sufficient.

In Amlwch pharmacy we offer the Urinary Tract Infection service.

If you think you have a uti infection and you are a woman/girl aged 16 to 64 and are not pregnant or breastfeeding, call in to see us. A urine sample will be required.

If positive for a urine infection, the pharmacist can give you the same medication you would receive from your GP. They can also give you advice and direct you for other medical help, if required.

Here in Amlwch Pharmacy we offer the Sore Throat Test and Treat service.

Our pharmacists can give you antibiotics which you would receive from a Doctor, if you test positive for a bacterial infection after taking a throat swab. Not all sore throats require antibiotics.

If you need help with a sore throat and if you have a child aged 5 years and over who is presenting with a sore throat, give us a call and we will see if we can fit you into our calendar.

If you need help with your medication, we are always here to try and help. Be it synchronising, explaining how to take your meds, showing you the correct way to use your inhalers or anything that you are not sure of. Call and see our friendly staff here in Amlwch. We will certainly do our best to help you.

CHRISTMAS LIST

1. Have you ordered your prescription?

2. Have you covered Christmas and New Year?

3. Have you got an emergency pack to hand (FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT) antibiotics and steroids?

4. Have you got cold and flu remedies in the house……just in case?

5. Have you got paracetamol for that unexpected headache?

6. Re-hydration remedies?

7. Rennies, Gaviscon for over-eating…..just in case, flatulence etc. 😏

8. If you have had a text to say your prescription is ready, have you collected it? Don’t leave it to the last minute, you may forget?

9. Remember we have limited space to hold bulk medication, please collect as soon as you can.

10. Please be kind to the staff as we are trying very hard to please everyone, sometimes it takes a bit longer.

11. If your medication is unavailable, please don’t worry, we will try our best to order from another wholesaler or get an alternative where possible.

12. Remember our Common Ailment Service, Sore Throat Test and Treat and UTI service…all funded by NHS WALES

Christmas is coming, 25 days away. Remember to order medication 10 days in advance to allow for the team to order any needed meds over the festivities.
This time of year is very busy and sometimes you may forget to order your medication, this is a reminder to all, please order in time. If you are not on our texting service, ask the team, they will be pleased to help. We can then text you when your meds are ready.
